Following the first rule of recycling—Reuse, Monicomp works with companies to retain the residual value of their unwanted electronic equipment through either direct purchase of the equipment or by selling it on consignment. Before resale, computers and laptops are tested and refurbished, and the hard drives are wiped and reformatted. A Certificate of Compliance is issued once the hard drives have been reformatted. All types of electronic equipment are considered for asset recovery, including networking and data storage equipment. Below is a list of some of our core Asset Recovery Services:
- Equipment Disassembly: Disassembly enables us the harvest and liberation of materials for a more sound recycling process and for the recovery of peripherals and/or board level components that can be resold without jeopardizing the customer’s destruction.
- Disk Drive Testing “Wipe” and Reformat: We understand the sensitivity of proprietary data, so all disk drives designated for reuse are “wiped” and reformatted using Department of Defense approved Software. We provide in depth detail on this service to assure our customers that their data is safely and securely removed.
- Consignment Services: At MoniComp, we purchase excess/obsolete electronic inventories directly, or via revenue share consignment. Consignment Services, enable us to effectively research our worldwide database of customers for opportunities to return the most revenue to you.
- Physical Destruction of Proprietary Items: MoniComp provides on sight shredding and smelting capabilities for the physical destruction and recycling of materials as requested by our customers. “Witnessed” destruction is available to customers who require this added measure of assurance. MoniComp provides Certificates of Destruction, Recycling and Compliance as a part of a Settlement process.
